Buj Studio in an experimental studio that works between art, fashion, and material research, founded and directed by the artist, architect, and designer Raquel Buj. Her works, understood as second skins, explore new material narratives around the idea of nature seeking to create new emotional links between body, matter, and space. She experiments with biomaterials, recycled materials, and digital fabrication, combining craftsmanship and new technologies in the creation of unique pieces to generate more sensitive materialities with the environment.

She works around the body and into space in her own projects and comissioned , through experimental artistic garments and desgns, installations and sculptures. In that liminal space between disciplines and knowledges, her projects propose other forms of expression that transcend the functional. Her pieces can take part in exhibitions of contemporary art and also in scenic, permormative and architectural scenarios, adapting to different formats and scales, while always maintaining an experimental approach

Her pieces have been exhibited in various centers and galleries, including the exhibition on fashion and sustainability “CANU, The sustainable fashion exhibition” in Shanghai 2022, exhibition at ARCO 2024 stand of the AECID-Academy of Spain in Rome, collective exhibition “Peninsulares 2025, Iberian Encounters of Contemporary Textile Art, ” The STOP DRAWING, Architecture beyond representation exhibition curated by Pippo Ciorra at the MAXXI Museum, Rome. She has worked with artists and performers such as Janet Novás, Instituto Stocos, Putochinomaricon, Resis Festival, Niño de Elche, Le Parody, and has created commissioned pieces for Cristina Pedroche. She has co-curated events around craftsmanship and research new materials at Espacio Vilaseco, Artesanias de Galicia.

She has been awarded with different recognitions such as a grant by the Spanish Academy in Rome for 2022-23. She combines his artistic practice with teaching at universities such as IE, IED, and BAU, and giving workshops and lectures nationally and internationally. She is currently the leader of the Master's Program in Surface Design and New Materials at IED 2024-2025.
